The Journey Continues – What We Believe

What we believe

“World Gone Wild” is not only the name of a 1988 sci-fi movie starring Bruce Dern, but a pretty accurate description of the country and world we see as we look out our windows and read/listen to the news. Things have gotten just a little crazy out there, folks, for so many reasons.

Not that things on Planet Earth haven’t ever been crazy and chaotic before, because they have, it’s just that, thanks to the internet, social media, and other forms of communication that now blanket our world and lives, we are inundated with it on a daily basis. The questions are, what do we each think about this? How do each of us respond or should we respond? What do we believe this is all about?

I’m not here to answer any of those questions for you or try to convince you of anything – one way or the other. I would, however, like to share some of my own thoughts and feelings with you. Call it a possible different perspective or, perhaps, even a validation of your own thoughts. Either way, here goes.

Since December 21, 2012, when the Mayan calendar ended and we reached the center of our galaxy, things have changed, and continued to change, on an energetic basis. While some may disagree with me, I have considered this to be the real beginning of the Age of Aquarius. The shift from Pisces to Aquarius presents us with a difference in perspective from “herd” mentality to “individuation” or the recognition of the self. You could say it’s a shift from the external world to the internal world. It takes our concerns from societal approval to self approval; from societal identity to self-identity.

If that’s not enough, the transition from the old (Pisces, in this case) to the new (Aquarius, also in this case) presents us with the chaos of shifting from the old to the new with the old not wanting to let go and the new trying to get a foothold. We’re not talking anything subtle here. We’re talking galactic energies that can be strongly felt.

Change is never easy. Stop and think about moving from your old residence to your new residence. There is chaos in the packing, moving, unpacking and settling in. Or, how about changing jobs? Leaving one job is often chaotic, for any number of reasons, while beginning the new job can, at first, still carry chaos with it as you try to learn the new job, what the new company expects of you, and get to know your new co-workers as, once again, you settle into the new situation. Now think about that on a galactic scale. Whoa! Is it any wonder it appears humanity has gone crazy?

We’ve begun to hear people speak about things never returning to “normal” and that there will be a “new” normal when all is said and done. I agree, but probably for very different reasons than those who originated those terms. I believe that, since that fateful day in December, 2012, a door has opened and the groundwork has been being laid for radically changes that result in how each of us view ourselves and the part we play, not only in our own lives, but in Life on Planet Earth.

There will be those who will desperately hang on to the old because they see no reason to change or fear what change may bring. There will be those who easily accept the changes which must take place within ourselves and how we interact with each other and our world. Finally, there will be those who feel that fear of change but, with knees knocking and hands shaking, move forward anyway because, on some level, they know that change will bring improvements to our lives.

Herein lies the reasons for the chaos we now witness – a difference in beliefs. What fuels those beliefs? Is it love or is it fear? Those really are the only two choices. All other emotions stem from one or the other. You could say this is a clash between the Light and the Darkness. That Light and Darkness resides in each of us. Each of us has the ability to make the choice, in every moment of every day, from which one we will respond to Life and the events It presents to us. Based on that choice, we create our reality.

Most of us have heard and even read about the Law of Attraction. It’s a fantastic guide to manifesting what we want in our lives. To state it, in its simplest form: What you can conceive of in your mind, and truly believe can happen in your heart, you will receive. There’s that word – believe. It’s not enough to think about something – to have an idea. You have to feel/believe in the very certainty of it happening – as if it already has. Then the Universe can match those energies and bring it to you (or you to it). And, yes, I’m talking about energies again. After all, everything, including us, is energy.

I believe we have reached a crossroads or turning point in the life of humanity on Earth. The Universe/God/Goddess has created circumstances for our awakening, at this point in time, so that we can clearly see what’s happening in both our personal and planetary lives and make a conscious choice as to what type of life we want to live. What’s really interesting about it is that, as we choose individually, we also unite with the energies of like-minded individuals and thus make a choice globally for what our “new” world will look like. How very Aquarian of us!

Why do I say that? Because while Aquarius is about each of us being the unique individuals we came here to be, it’s also about the well-being of others. Aquarius energies are those of freedom, independence, and uniqueness but also Universal Love. It’s now up to us to decide what kind of world we want to live in and then believe, with all our hearts, that that kind of world can manifest.

I truly believe that out of this chaos can come something beautiful. What do you believe?

Universal Love
