As I have been writing these journal entries, it’s becoming clear that, to try to explain this journey I’ve been on for over sixty years, it’s become more like exploring a huge house you’ve never been in before. Room by room, you open each door, enter the room and see what it has to say to you. Once you’ve explored that room, it’s on to the next and then the next. Finally, you’ve been in every room and you have some idea of the history that this particular house has experienced. You may not have been there to witness it or feel it, but a picture is beginning to form in your mind of what this house has lived through.
Because I love puzzles, I could even use that analogy. I’m giving you pieces to the puzzle, one by one, and when I’ve given them all to you, hopefully, you’ll see the picture that all these pieces, when put together, make.
Having said all that, it’s time to head off in another direction – visit another room – pick up and examine another piece of the puzzle. Here we go!
I grew up watching shows like The Twilight Zone and The Outer Limits. I knew they were fiction, but that didn’t stop me from considering the possibility of there actually being people in other dimensions, parallel worlds, or even other planets. It just never occurred to me that it wasn’t possible.
I was fortunate enough to actually see a UFO when I was a senior in high school. I was amazed but it also confirmed in my mind that we are not alone in the Universe. I know that there are people who, for whatever reason, choose to believe otherwise, but, for me, there has just been too much proof presented over the last 50+ years for me to join those who disbelieve.
When books, such as Erich von Daniken’s Chariot’s of the Gods?, appeared on bookshelves, I snapped them up and became an avid reader in that genre. I read and read and it all made sense in my mind. So much so, that a piece of my own creation fell into place in my mind. Having read Darwin at a fairly early age, I knew that Darwin and others had searched for his “missing link” to no avail. What if we redirected our attention from digging in the earth to looking in the skies? What if the missing piece of evolution we were seeking was not of a natural process? What if a more advanced race, in an attempt to save their own race, came here and, through their advanced abilities in science, jumped our evolution by mingling our DNA with theirs? I even wrote it all down in a notebook. It was just so clear, so mater-of-fact in my mind.
Some years passed and I ran across two books by Brad Steiger – The Gods of Aquarius and Star People. In these books, particularly Star People, the author talked about some people discovering that, because of certain unusual physiological and even psychological traits they had, they could be descendants of extraterrestrials. Yeah, yeah, I know. It sounds a little too tabloid newspaper to be true. Remember me? Not gullible, but open-minded. I considered it. In my mind it was possible even if it wasn’t probable. I mean, I’d been seeing ghosts since I was a wee child. How could I deny the possibility of ETs existing and visiting a very young Earth? How could I deny the possibility that, rather than take over our planet by annihilating the native species, they and we became one?
As the years rolled past and more and more evidence was unearthed that supported the possibility we had been visited by beings from elsewhere, a man named Zecharia Sitchin wrote the first of a series of books that would come to be known as The Earth Chronicles. This first book was entitled, The 12th Planet. It was the product of thirty years of research using archaeological discoveries along with ancients tests and artifacts. Here was the result of playing “connect the dots” and it was neither hypothetical nor was it supposition. And know what? Even though I didn’t have the details when I wrote my theory in that notebook, it pretty much said the same thing that I had written years earlier! Blown away doesn’t describe my feelings while reading this amazing piece of documentation! Needless to say, I would go on to read the other four books in the series, having to close my mouth from its jaw-dropping position on a frequent basis.
You may be asking yourself, “How crazy is this woman?” or “What does this have to do with astrology, ghosts, reincarnation or even spirituality?” The answer is really fairly simple: Shakespeare wrote, near the end of Act I, in Hamlet, “There are more things in heave and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.” Unlike Horatio, my philosophy saw a connection between them all. That connection was that the general philosophy of our culture had suppressed or disposed of all these wonderful possibilities. That we are much more than the physical bodies we occupy and the physical existence we see right before our very eyes. If we are to understand what our sojourn on Planet Earth is about, then we must consider all the possibilities. If we are to truly understand who we are and why we have come here, at this particular time, then all possible factors have to be presented to our minds and spirits for consideration.
While your ego may deny the possibility of something, out of fear or past programming, if you take the time to listen to the subtle voice of your Higher Self, it may be telling you that you need to take a particular piece of information into consideration. I have been fortunate. Even though I have had my own programming, no one has ever been able to suppress my open mind. No one has ever been able to stop me from taking anything into consideration and deciding, based not just on logic but on intuition and feeling, whether it rings true for me.
These things that I have presented thus far, and shall continue to present, are the things that ring true for me. I won’t say they are Universal Truths. What I will say is that I hope they inspire you to blow away the mists of muddy reasoning and preconception and see your world anew with the awe and wonder of the innocent child you once were. To open that door, and take a giant step forward, means an adventure in a whole new, bright world.
Are you ready? Because the adventure has barely begun!
