We’re headed towards the end of 2019. I’ve heard many say this has been quite a year for them. I could even count myself among them. Yes, 2019 has been “interesting” to say the least.
Astrologically, there’s only one planet retrograde and that’s Uranus in Taurus. All the other planets are moving forward, as should each of us. But some may be wondering how to go about doing that. Uranus in Taurus retrograde may hold the key. It tells us we should be re-evaluating all that we have already lived through. We should be determined to establish ourselves both emotionally and financially to provide the security that we seek. The energy of this placement allows those who tap into it to break up crystallized thought patterns from former incarnations. These crystallized patterns cause conflict within us that must be broken if we are to make progress.
While these thought patterns may make us feel secure, the truth is that sense of safety and well-being is built on false foundations. It is only when our Souls lead us into circumstances that we become aware of the illusions under which we have been living our lives.
I posted a meme on Facebook the other day that said, “Make sure you take out your trash before 2020” How do you find that “trash”? Re-evaluate all you have lived through this year. Look for doubts, bad habits, grudges, false friends and/or family, anything toxic. Uranus in Taurus retrograde wants to help you clear a path to progress for the New Year. Open up to its energies. You might be surprised.
Something else that might be helpful in “taking out the trash” is the Full Moon in Gemini that will be arriving on Thursday, December 12th at 0:12 a.m. EST. Gemini is a barren sign, which makes it great for stopping the growth of the things you no longer want in your life.
The combination of the Sun in Sagittarius and the Moon in Gemini can cause people to be hasty in speech, overexcited and too active. Some will even feel nervous.
The upside is that it’s great for change and movement. Another plus for getting rid of the old and creating the new. Just be sure to see things clearly and not be too hasty so it doesn’t create later regrets.
For those into numerology, this Full Moon happens on 12/12 at 12:12 a.m. EST. That makes for a lot of 3s in…wait for it…a “3” year! (2019 = 2+0+1+9 = 12 =3) This is the number of self-expression, inspiration, talent, and kindness. So while you’re getting rid of what no longer serves you, you can fill the void with lots of wonderful things that help you progress. So don’t be afraid to be inspired to use your talents for self-expression that brings pleasant changes to you and your life.
The very next day, Friday the 20th, Venus enters Aquarius at 1:42 a.m. EST. It’s under this influence that love encompasses all humanity and, therefore, some will be prone to interests in a whole series of people in an effort to find that one ideal person.
Romantic attractions are often sudden and casual making them not necessarily stable or lasting. Intellectual stimulation becomes important in romance and marriage. Boring routine will kill romance quickly.
For the artist, being able to grasp human nature makes it easy to capture the essence of the subject. Techniques may be unusual and unique with a bold use of color. With Venus in Aquarius, music becomes the best way to express oneself.
No matter how you use this energy, the one thing that remains constant is a need for freedom to have relationships on many levels with many people. This brings the mental stimulation this energy requires from all types of human nature.
The rebirth of the Sun happens as it enters the sign of Capricorn on Saturday, December 21st at 11:20 p.m. EST. For some this is just the beginning of Winter while for others it’s the Winter Solstice or Yule – a time of the longest night and the shortest day. It is now that the Sun begins waxing until it reaches Summer Solstice or the beginning of Summer, when the whole cycle begins again.
The energy of the Sun in Capricorn always has a faint aura of melancholy and seriousness. There is a strength in this energy though that can allow a person to seek out people and places which will help them to advance or improve themselves. This energy gives persistence, patience, ambition, efficiency, and practicality to those who tap into it or influenced by it.
Ruled by Saturn, Capricorn has much to teach us and much can be learned from discipline and a sense of duty – especially to oneself. Don’t allow the traits of being rigid, pessimistic, cold, and too conventional block your path to success in whatever area of life you want to attain.
Although the energies may seem heavy at times, remind yourself the Sun is now shining longer on the path ahead!
Wishing you and those you love a happy and joyous holiday season!
