The realization of how vast the Universe is can be quite humbling. When we look up in the night sky, we are only seeing a mere portion of our own galaxy, let alone being able to see the millions of other galaxies that make up the totality of what we call the Universe.
Our planet is a tiny speck, less than a grain of sand on a beach in comparison, and we are a tiny speck inhabiting that planet. Very humbling indeed.
Yet, we have, at our disposal, the use of all that energy that is created by those planets and galaxies because we are, dear reader, made of the very stuff out of which was created the vastness of our Universe and all that exists in it. Boggles the imagination, huh?
How is it possible for us to have access to such energy? Just by being aware of where the planets are on any given day and learning how that affects you personally. It can help us to realize we have some control and we have a choice. We aren’t at the mercy of some unseen force or God and Life isn’t just being mean to us…unless that is what we choose.
With Spring having just begun and a New Moon now approaching, this could be the perfect time to plant the “seeds” that help you grow a new perspective of your life. Let it be one that empowers you and shows you that you can choose each and every day how you want to live. Though we humbly see our smallness in the vastness of the Universe, it is still possible to be powerful in the living of our own lives.
Speaking of that New Moon, there’s a New Moon in Aries happening on Friday, April 5th at 4:50 a.m. EDT. Of course, since it is a New Moon, the Sun will also be in Aries and that means energy with lots of fiery ambition will abound.
This also means there will be a lot of activity in mind and thought along with a quickness in perceptions. While this can be excellent in most areas, the biggest drawback is jumping head first into things without really looking where you’re leaping. Troubles have a habit of following impulsive actions and rash conduct.
While this can aid people in being masterful, independent, and self-reliant, it can also make others militant, domineering, unyielding, and intolerant of contradiction. Awareness can make all the difference on how this energy affects you.
As with any Moon in Aries, especially a New Moon, this is a fantastic time for beginning new projects. The energy of Aries is the energy of Spring – forceful, letting nothing stand in its way of growth.
Frustration can breed anger, but temperamental flare-ups don’t last. The frustration can arise from not getting where the imagination wants to take us quickly enough or not in the way we had envisioned it.
This is a time for blazing new trails, going where you’ve never gone before and doing what you have never done before. This New Moon offers one heck of an adventure!
Jupiter in Sagittarius will go retrograde on Wednesday, April 10th at 1:00 p.m. EDT. Jupiter rules Sagittarius and Sagittarius rules such things as faith, philosophy, law, higher education, intuition, and long journeys.
When it’s retrograde, we are provided energies that allow us the opportunity to learn lessons concerning the taking of advice from others. While you may like to think for yourself, and while you may have a great deal of universal knowledge experienced in previous lifetimes, valuing the opinions and ideas of others is just as important as your own knowledge.
You may find your higher mind attracted to a thousand different things at the same time while you simultaneously try to understand each one of them. This mental restlessness can make you want to spread your knowledge wherever you go. First, learn to value what you understand within yourself rather than testing the values of others against your own ideals. It is then that you become a great teacher of all who are seeking the truth.
Part of this is learning to do so without arrogance or self-justifying rationalizations. We are all striving for balance in the different areas of our lives. We lose that balance when we feel threatened by a situation we consider to be unfair. Now, with Jupiter retrograde, we have a chance to take a close look at areas where this may occur and find out why this may be true for us and how to correct it.
Jupiter in Sagittarius brings us to a crossroad between personal behavior and transpersonal consequences where we can begin to realize that only when we live according to the highest good within ourselves can humankind be able to live in peace and harmony. Now, Jupiter is retrograde, showing this energy to us and offering us the opportunity to work with it.
Mercury enters Aries on Wednesday, April 17th, at 2:01 a.m. EDT bringing energies that add mental strength and brilliance to ones mind.
New ideas, original thinking, and intellectual adventures are all part of this energy. This energy also provides a witty and amusing atmosphere where a person comes up with clever answers and quick comebacks.
There is an impatience with this energy that can occur especially if faced with opposition to and idea. It can make some willful and headstrong.
This is a great energy for anyone in a leadership position. If you’re not in one already, you could be asked to head a committee or group.
The Sun is shining. The birds are singing. Spring is definitely here! I hope you find time to get out and enjoy Spring and Nature in the next two weeks. See you then!
