Are you one of those who feels the energies as they are shifting? I know I am. The next few days are going to have some very interesting ones that I will talk about in a minute, but I can feel them already.
There’s evidence that things are shifting, if you take the time to look around and see what’s happening in the world. The Earth alone is telling us that things must change.
It might be a nice idea to put on our rose-colored glasses or put our blinders firmly in place to pretend none of this is happening…but it is. You know everything is energy and, when it begins to manifest in physical form, the Universe is telling us we need to pay attention.
It’s nothing to fear – even if the worst (whatever that may be) happens. Rather it’s an opportunity to realize we have a part in and an ability to change what’s happening. All we have to do is be aware and believe we can help.
Astrology gives us glimpses into energetic possibilities. It is ultimately we who decide how we are going to use or be used by these energies. It’s our choice.
So listen up. The Sun is already in Taurus and Mercury has just moved there as well. Jupiter is retrograde in Scorpio (the sign opposite Taurus) and Saturn is retrograde in its home sign of Capricorn (another earth sign). And then Tuesday happens…
With the Moon in Taurus as well, the New Moon takes place on Tuesday, May 15th at 7:48 a.m. EDT. This is the most solid and practical of influences, especially where finances are concerned.
With the Sun and Moon both occupying this sign, it brings an energy that is fearless, persistent, hopeful, and friendly.
While Taurus is usually a placid energy, there is also the energy of the raging bull. Given the right circumstances, tempers can flare but are usually of short duration.
Ruled by Venus, Taurus makes it an excellent time for musicians and artists. For that matter, being an earth sign, it’s a good time for gardening, landscaping, and just being out in Nature.
This is a New Moon, a time for new beginnings, so that makes it a great time for new projects in any area of your life, but especially where money-making, property, and other financial matters are concerned.
That Venus influence also speaks to romance and love in general. A stable domestic relationship is important to emotional security. If you are still searching for that certain someone, realize that, whatever spells romance for you, will be important for you to find in that person as well as financial stability in them as well.
There are lots of possibilities for this New Moon. Use good old-fashion common sense to decide what your best new beginning may be.
Less than four hours later, Uranus will move into Taurus at 11:23 a.m. EDT. As one article about this transit stated, “Follow the money.” The energy of this transit will be all about new, innovative ideas concerning money and resources.
This could spell major reforms in business and the economy with people desiring the application of humanitarian principles. It could really shake up established ways of thinking and doing as a multitude of people begin to think outside the proverbial box. Hell, they’ll probably throw the damn box away!
On one side you may have those who very much want to be practical but in a unique and original way while, on the other side, there will be those who will be unyielding in their stubbornness. Both will be determined and both will have fixity of purpose – one to keep the status quo and the other to radically change things.
There is a huge amount of energy attached to this transit and also a monumental will to do. The trick will be make changes, but not too quickly.
The very next morning, Wednesday, May 16th, at 0:55 a.m. EDT, Mars moves into Aquarius. Mars represents action. Aquarius is a sign of intellect but also of the unique, the innovative, and the individual.
When you combine the two these energies can cause people to want to fight and change counter-productive and stagnant traditions.
For individuals, this can be an uncomfortable combination. With Mars needing a physical outlet and Aquarius being intellectual, if that outlet isn’t found, it can create inner conflicts and nervous tension.
There’s another interesting energy that can come into play here – past life energies, especially that have to do with unfinished business. Some may discover they have come to do a great amount of work in a short period of time due to some threatening situation that involves either themselves or those close to them. Another possibility is that they may be here to influence or help, in some way, friends from past lives. The action that needs to be taken could even stem from some past life worry.
This is another astrological combination that has the ability to really shake things up.
Love is the prime requirement when Venus moves into Cancer on Saturday, May 19th at 9:11 a.m. EDT. An emotional outlet may be needed for ones health and general well-being.
Feeling are deep and quiet for those affected by these energies. Love is taken very seriously and sentimentality is intense. People can be very demonstrative and emotional.
This is an energy that promotes the enjoyment of food and can cause people to overindulge. Men and women both may find they like to cook under the influence of this transit.
This is a maternal sign and affections are directed toward children, by men as well as by women. Family ties can become stronger under its influence.
Demonstrations of love and affection make people feel secure and loved.
When the Sun moves into Gemini on Sunday, May 20th at 10:15 p.m. EDT, the energies become restless, yet more adaptable.
People can become witty, spontaneous, inquisitive, and talkative on one hand and sometimes nervous, superficial, and inconsistent on the other.
All forms of communication are emphasized now and travel, especially short journeys, as well. If you are a writer or a speaker, this is a good time for you.
Gemini always presents choices between two things and this can make decisions harder. Sometimes people even feel like they are two personalities living in one body. It can become confusing. This brings the lesson of grounding oneself so that clarity in seeing and deciding can be attained.
