We live in chaotic times brought about by chaotic energies. These energies have always been with us, to a greater or lesser degree, but began increasing with December 21, 2012 and most recently with our latest solar eclipse.
People feel these energies, even if they are unaware that they do. Sleeplessness, headaches, body aches, feelings of disorientation, and more are inexplicably felt by many. Others feel it emotionally with anger, hatred, depression, and similar feelings being intensified or just happening inexplicably.
Many are feeling hopeless, desperate, fearful, so it’s really no wonder that some turn to the skies for a sign. Our ancestors did the same. Comets usually meant a major event would happen, like the death of a king. While other signs, such as alignments, were seen to be prophesizing usually some form of doom. (I never have really understood why it always had to be doom.)
Such an event has recently appeared concerning an event in the skies on September 23, 2017 that some Christians believe is prophesizing from the Book of Revelations. I won’t go into detail about this “prophecy” here but you can read more about it, in an excellent article on the EarthSky web site, here EarthSky News
The event has been given such headlines on various web sites as : Revelation 12 Sign; The Great Sign of Revelation 12; and, I love this one, Once in 7000 years 23rd September, 2017. First of all, folks, this particular formation of planets and stars taking place on September 23rd isn’t all that rare. As you will find it stated in the above mentioned article, in the past 1000 years, the same event has happened four other times – 1056, 1293, 1483, and 1827. There really is nothing unique or significant about it.
Any astrologer worth his or her salt knows that planets forming aspects with each other and multiple planets aligning do create either difficult or easy energies. These energies, however, don’t create events. They only provide the energies that we humans can use to manifest either something positive or something negative in our lives and in our world.
Astronomy and astrology were once one science. Now the former deals with the magnitudes, distances, masses, speeds, etc. of the planets made by observations with instruments, while the latter deals with the influence these celestial bodies have upon animate and inanimate objects and their reactions to such influences. So, you see there is nothing fatalistic about either one – astronomy or astrology.
The energy of these celestial events is ours to use as we see fit or not use at all. I would venture to say that most of the events that have been heralded as “prophetic” in the past, merely were attached to the celestial event whose energies some chose to use for a specific, albeit historic, purpose.
Bottom line: the sky isn’t falling and the world isn’t coming to an end. Heck, this event isn’t even all that rare!
On Wednesday, September 6th, at 3:03 a.m. EDT, there will be a Full Moon happening in the sign of Pisces.
This Full Moon will have strong psychic qualities that can be used to further your spiritual journey, something Pisces rules. Sadly, it can also bring fears to the surface which will cause some to ignore the quiet voice of intuition. Listen anyway! This could provide you with information and/or inspiration that can create a much more positive and secure way of life.
While wanting to do good for as many people as possible, don’t forget to do good for yourself as well – another lesson of Moon in Pisces – and there is no shame or guilt in doing good for yourself first. Taking care of your body, mind, and spirit is very important.
Watch out for apathy and ambivalence trying deter you from the possibilities and opportunities presented by this Full Moon. Combine positive thought with your intuition to provide yourself with just the guidance you need at this time.
With the Sun in Virgo, there can be a restlessness that wants change to happen…now! Time to be straightforward with others and yourself. Use Virgo’s attention to detail to scrutinize the different areas of your life and then be honest on how you feel about them. Perhaps it is time for a change.
Use the energies of this Full Moon in Pisces to make changes that you long for in your life!
Mercury heads into Virgo on Saturday, September 9th at 10:52 p.m. EDT – a strong position for Mercury as it rules the sign of Virgo.
This is primarily an intellectual approach to Life and it can cause some to be emotionally detached from considering the feelings and failings of their fellow human beings.
This is an excellent time for such things as solving abstract problems or being a scientist, doctor, nurse, or even a dietician. It can, however, make dealing with people more difficult.
Virgo is a practical sign and can be very down-to-earth in handling situations in Life. Any situation that requires attention to detail or being well-organized will benefit from Mercury being in Virgo at this time.
It’s also a good time for studying, writing, learning a language, or doing anything that requires an analytical ability. The drawback can be a tendency to be very critical, especially of others and losing patience with people who are slower than the person affected by these energies.
Focusing on the positive use of these energies can be very helpful in moving forward in your life.
On Tuesday, September 19th, Venus moves into Virgo at 9:15 p.m. EDT. causing some to over-analyze their emotions.
It’s very important, for those affected by these energies, that their partner share their intellectual interests. Because they can be too critical of those they love, this placement produces more unmarried people than any other Venus position. Feelings of loneliness or frustration may result.
People with this placement, or affected by it, are extremely fastidious about their manners, appearance and hygiene. For that reason, they are repelled by any form of crudeness or uncouthness.
This is an excellent position for writing, acting, and public speaking. It’s also good for dealing with the sick as it brings out the nurturing ability.
Overall, this is a good time to take a look at feelings – how we feel about ourselves, others, and even our work and home environment. Virgo allows us to step back from those very emotions and see why we feel the way we do.
Well, the planets have spoken! Next week, I’ll be back with a new article in “The Journey Continues.” See you then!
