Why should anyone care about astrology? What purpose does it serve, especially for the average person in their day-to-day lives? These are two very important questions that deserve to be answered.
Einstein told us that everything is made of energy vibrating at different rates. Others have told us that everything is connected. Even though the isolation of our physical bodies would have us believe otherwise, we are connected to each other and to everything on this planet and in the Universe. How could that be? Because everything is made of energy.
Having said that, I then say I would rather work with the energy currents rather than try to make my way through life unaware that I was bucking those currents and thus making my life way harder than it needed to be.
Presenting astrology! the way to discover when those energies are working with you and when you might find yourself “swimming against the tides”.
We use thermometers to determine whether we should put a sweater or coat on before going out. We watch the weather on TV or go to weather web sites to see whether our plans for the weekend will be spoiled by rain. Some us even check to see if we will have snow to shovel before going to work or if our drive to work will be slower due to snow on the roads. The many different forms of astrology can provide the same type of forecasting to your upcoming day, your trip to work, or even when would be the best time to plan an event. Why would you not use these tools just as you use the tools available for weather forecasting?
If, through an observance of what sign and phase the Moon is in, you could make your day easier to deal with, why wouldn’t you? If, by realizing where the Sun is and how that interacts with your Sun sign, you could make your weekend or vacation more pleasurable, why wouldn’t you?
There are many, many advantages to being aware of what sign planets are in and most amount to easing the stress that we put ourselves through every day. Astrology offers to be our guide to an easier journey through life by allowing us to swim with the tides rather than against them. A definite plus in my book!
And speaking of that awareness, On Saturday, Nov. 22nd, the Sun will move from Scorpio to Sagittarius at 4:38 a.m. EST.
Jupiter, the ruler of Sagittarius, is known as the Great Benefic and is expansive in nature. This energy is outgoing, open-minded, optimistic and creates aspiration. People are generally friendly, jovial, sincere, and dependable.
This transit through Sagittarius can create a restlessness that can create a desire to travel. This is a time of adventure and often creates a desire to be outdoors.
There is a down-side to this for some. It can cause tactlessness along with irresponsibility and even arrogance. For the most part, though, this is a time of adaptability and also a time to reach for the stars.
To all those who have a birthday during this time….
About three hours later on the 22nd, the New Moon occurs in Sagittarius at 7:32 a.m. EST. With the Sun and Moon both in Sagittarius there is a great love of freedom and independence that can even tip over into rebelliousness.
This is an excellent New Moon for beginnings in self-improvement. It also favors intellectual pursuits, especially of a philosophical nature. Activities that allow us to express ourselves are also highlighted, such as lecturing or publishing our ideas.
There can even be a change in occupation or dwelling. After all, Sagittarius is about expansion, freedom and independence, change and motion.
Enjoy this wonderful enthusiastic energy and allow it to show you what is possible for you at this time!
On Thursday, November 27th, Mercury will join the Sun in the sign of Sagittarius at 9:28 p.m. EST. creating energies for the mind that are swift and brilliant.
There will be some difficulty in concentration and memory. Judgment, however, is improved and that could be due to the heightened state of the intuition. Following ones hunches would be wise now.
What appears to be rudeness, but is not, can occur due to the desire to express an idea the moment it occurs and interrupting others in the process.
Overall, this is an energy that creates the desire and expression of mental freedom. Because of the lack of concentration, writers would do well to write short stories now.
Mars moves into Aquarius on Thursday, December 4th at 6:57 p.m. EST. making for an uncomfortable pairing. Aquarius is an intellectual sign that doesn’t like to expend energy on anything physical while Mars is a planet of action. So, unless those who are affected by these energies see the importance in a course of action, inaction will create inner conflicts and nervous tension.
Part of the inner conflict that can occur comes from a need for friends and the need to be an individual in the strictest sense – a real tug-of-war.
This placement also favors professions over jobs and work that is mental over that which is physical. Nine-to-five office work may feel restrictive with Mars in Aquarius thus denying ones independence.
Overall, this is a good time for mental activities but the physical side of life must also be recognized in order to maintain balance and avoid internal conflicts.
Wishing you all a wonderful Thanksgiving! Until next time…
