We are headed for the “dark” of the year – a time when the Veil between the world of Spirit and the physical world grows thin. This is a time of prophecy and a time of remembrance. This is a time that gives us a lot to think about as we go further into that dark time of introspection.
We’re approaching the last harvest of the year and that time when both our dear ones and those who might not be quite so dear are able to communicate with us. They may want to us to know that they’re all right or they might have other messages for us.
Scorpio is a sign of death but also a sign of transformation and what is death but a transformation of the energy that is “us” from the realms of the physical to the world of Spirit?
This year, just prior to Halloween (or Hallowmas or Samhain), there is a New Moon and a partial solar eclipse. This is some real transformative energy since the Sun, the Moon, Venus and Saturn will ALL be in Scorpio on that day when that solar eclipse takes place! The opportunity for change will present itself in a really big way, if we choose to pay attention. This level of transformative energy happens rarely and here it comes for us to use on Thursday, October 23rd…Wow! What an adventure!
And it all begins with the Sun transiting into Scorpio on Thursday, October 23rd at 7:57 a.m. EDT.
Scorpio is intense – intense feelings, strong intuition, strong sense of purpose, and a very strong imagination, to say the least. A double-edge energetic sword that can cut for the benefit of those using it or against, if one is not careful. There is a great amount of stored energy just waiting for the right trigger to burst forth and create wonderful achievements or big disasters. The choice is yours.
Many see Scorpio as having three levels: the scorpion or serpent at the first level, followed by the soaring eagle, and, finally, the phoenix a wonderful mythical bird that can rise from its own ashes and begin life anew. Regeneration is one of Scorpio’s many traits available to those who choose to tap into the energies.
There are negative attributes to Scorpio that include suspicion, secretiveness, resentfulness, obstinacy, and jealousy. These are tools by which we can learn about ourselves and how we respond to the outside world. From that, we can grow and ascend in our vibrations.
There is also a great deal of healing power available when the Sun is in Scorpio. When you combine that with the energies of transformation and regeneration, you have some really powerful energies that can heal almost any illness or situation when used in a positive manner.
So here’s to all those born under this sign! May the rest of us make good use of the energies that you have available every day!!!
Next comes Venus, which will move into Scorpio on Thursday, October 23rd at 4:52 p.m. EDT., bringing an intensity to love in the most physical sense.
This energy is direct, straightforward and determined. So much so, in fact, that it can frighten some people. It’s also a passionate, possessive, jealous energy. Forewarned is forearmed. If you find yourself giving or receiving this energy in this form, take a breath. If you are the one projecting this energy, take a moment and dial it back. If you are receiving it, take a step back and decide the best course of action and then take it.
Venus in Scorpio is a great energy for writers and other artists to create with. It’s also a very sensitive, intuitive energy that can open doors to the unseen worlds.
The most important message here is to guard against emotional and sexual excesses. Enjoy the mystery and the passion, but stay balanced no matter what.
On that very same day, Thursday, just before the occurrence of the New Moon and the solar eclipse, the Moon moves into Scorpio at 5:10 p.m. EDT. creating intense emotional energies that can range from being intensely passionate about someone or something to becoming aggressive, overly critical, moody and impatient.
Of course, you may be drawn to things that are mysterious in nature or even considered “occult”. After all, Scorpio is a water sign and its intensity includes intuition and even psychic abilities.
With the Sun and Moon both in Scorpio, it doubles down on that intensity of emotions, intuition, desire and passion. Wow! Then add Venus and Saturn and mega-WOW!!!
Ah, but then the partial solar eclipse, which is visible over all of USA except Hawaii and the most extreme parts of New England, happens at 5:57 p.m. EDT when the New Moon actually occurs. For those moments of its happening, all that intensity will decrease somewhat and give us a moment to breathe, ground, center and, if we haven’t already done so, decide what we might want to do with all this transformative energy at our disposal. The possibilities are limitless!
Mercury, which is currently in Libra and has been retrograde since October 4th, will turn direct on Saturday, October 25th at 3:17 p.m. EDT.
Moving forward in Libra, Mercury offers us the opportunity to examine our relationships and see how we are relating and responding in those situations. It offers the chance to step into the other person’s shoes and see things from their perspective.
The use of clear and honest communications is a very useful tool to acquiring harmony and balance in all types of relationships that we have in our lives. There will also be a desire to form partnerships with people of good reputation and fine minds.
With Mercury in forward motion, thought is clearer and decisions are made with more clarity than while Mercury was retrograde.
Mars moves into Capricorn on Sunday, October 26th, at 6:43 a.m. EDT. creating energies of integrity and perseverance. Mars in Capricorn is a hard-working energy that wants recognition and advancement.
These energies aren’t especially warm and can make people rather cold, especially when angry. There may be tendencies to use people, especially for material gain and, in some cases, there may be total disregard for the rights of others.
So, my advice? If you tap into these energies, go for the part that deals with integrity and perseverance and make the most of these hard-working energies to help you create the changes you want in your life!
Of course I have to mention Halloween! October 31st is a Friday this year and we will be on the waxing side of the Moon with the Moon in Aquarius. Expect the unexpected and allow the Universe to “treat” you to the very best!!!
As a final note, I would remind you that on Sunday, November 2nd at 2:00 a.m., we do the “fall back” thing once again. Remember to turn your clocks back one hour.
Until next we meet, may peace, prosperity, health and happiness flow to you and through you!
