Did you know that we are in the middle of three eclipse that are occurring in the course of 30 days? Yup, it’s true!
It started with the Sun in Taurus/Moon in Scorpio Full Moon that occurred on April 25th, creating a lunar eclipse. If you remember, from the last Musings, I said that to me, lunar eclipses are especially good for eclipsing the power of any emotion that no longer is in your best interest. It provides the energies to surpass that which is holding you back. I also said that it would be an excellent time to Spring clean your inner temple by breaking down barriers and removing obstacles.
This will now be followed by the upcoming New Moon, with the Sun and Moon both in Taurus (see further down for details) that creates a solar eclipse and finally followed by another lunar eclipse on May 25th when the Full Moon occurs with the Sun in Gemini and the Moon in Sagittarius.
We are being given vibrational help coupled with opportunity to rid ourselves of what no longer works and/or holds us back and create what we do truly want! It’s amazing!
I’ve seen it begin to happen already with people that are near and dear to me. Some have been going through some life-changing situations and all they have had to hang on to is faith. They’ve hung on and they’ve kept that faith. Now, answers are coming and those situations are changing – for the better!
To me, it’s just another example that shows we have a choice: we can live life by default or use the energies that surround us to make our lives joyful and abundant! I don’t know about you, but I choose joy and abundance!!!
Venus moves into Gemini on Thursday, May 9th at 11:03 a.m. EDT taking some of the emotion out of Venus and replacing it with rationality. This is a time when people who feel these energies and are affected by them may not want to be touched or caressed. Love actually becomes expressed more intellectually than physically or emotionally.
Strange as it may seem though, this is a wonderful time for creating anything that takes intellect. Writing or speaking on factual matters, rather than emotional ones, can be quite productive and effective now. The lack of emotional distractions can also make it an excellent time for scientific work.
Another interesting thing about Venus in Gemini is that where love is concerned, a person affected by these energies may find they are faced with choices. Admirers may show up in pairs (or more) and a decision will have to be made.
In any event, it’s a totally different take on the planet of love and beauty. That could prove to be interesting!
As I stated earlier, the Sun and Moon both will be in Taurus. Taurus is about finances, material possessions, security, practicality and more. With the Moon eclipsing the Sun, to me, it draws our attention to our feelings. Perhaps it’s time to closely exam how you feel about all the things that Taurus represents in your life. What is your attitude about money? Is the acquisition of material possessions taking the place of real emotional relationships? What does it take to make you feel secure? If you have any kind of obsession about money or material things, perhaps this solar eclipse is telling you to make them less important in your life and find what really is emotionally satisfying.
Taurus is also hopeful, cheerful and can possess artistic and/or musical ability. There’s also plenty of determination and persistence contained in the energies of this sign. So many good tools to make use of as this New Moon offers a new beginning, especially where finances and material possessions are concerned!
Mercury will be moving into Gemini on Wednesday, May 15th at 4:41 p.m. EDT. A fantastic placement as Mercury rules Gemini.
Which, for those who find they are affected by these energies, is a time of pure, logical reasoning at its highest level!
Mercury is considered a neutral planet, colored by the sign it is found in. Being in Gemini makes the energies of Mercury versatile, unbiased, and impersonal. This makes communication easy, rapid and accurate in both speech and in writing.
One draw back is that ones nervous system can become so sensitive to the external stimuli of the surrounding environment that all activity and speech is intensely registered in ones awareness. On one hand this could cause great distraction creating an inability to focus. On the other hand, it creates the opportunity to use the agility of ones mind to learn to register two impressions at one or even think two thoughts almost at the same time. Such is the duality of both Mercury and especially Gemini (the twins)! Because of this you may find you need solitude more right now. Take the time to meditate and re-focus your mind.
The energies of Mercury in Gemini can allow a person to see a situation from many viewpoints. This can create difficulty in making a decision or cause one to change ones mind often. Careful…you could become a mental whirling dervish!
This is a great time for mental originality and scientific thought as well as any situation that requires mathematics or a foreign language. All are much easier with Mercury in Gemini.
Once more the Sun enters Gemini at 5:10 p.m. EDT on Monday, May 20th. This is a mutable air sign that represents the twins, Castor and Pollux, and the mental processes of both hemispheres of the brain.
The energies of the Sun in Gemini are versatile, adaptable, inquisitive, logical, talkative, and witty, but also restless, nervous, sometimes inconsistent and superficial. Don’t try to pin down a definite description for any Gemini you may know. Like the twins, there are usually two personalities and, although I’m not suggesting that they suffer from multiple personality syndrome or anything like that, the expression of their personalities can be as changeable as a chameleon.
For those of us who weren’t born with the Sun in Gemini, you may find these energies useful for travel, communication – in any form, reading and learning, along with anything that could use an original, creative idea or approach to it.
