Discoveries in space just keep on happening! The latest is a planet about twice the size of Earth that is made largely of carbon that is so dense scientists have calculated it must be crystalline. In other words, it’s a huge diamond!
Every two hours and ten minutes this “diamond” planet orbits its tiny pulsar sun about 4000 light years away from us. Scientists believe the planet is the remnant of a once-massive star that lost its outer layers to the sun it orbits.
What’s really cool is they think it likely contains oxygen and that the oxygen might be prevalent at the surface. The fact that they have no idea what it would look like gives food for thought and fuel to the imagination! A crystalline world…wow!
This will be the darkest night in October and, from a magickal and vibrational standpoint, an excellent time for throwing those energies into the abyss that no longer serve you. In other words, this is the night for your vibrational Fall house cleaning!
As with all New Moons, it’s a great time for new beginnings as well. With the Sun and Moon both in Libra, anything that has to do with achieving balance and harmony would best begun now. Intellectual pursuits as well partnerships of all kinds falls under the vibration of Libra making it a good time for them as well.
As evening approaches, the Moon enters Scorpio giving an opportunity for rebirth, transformation and regeneration. Truly fabulous opportunities await us with this New Moon!
Hey, sky watchers! The Orionids meteor shower can be viewed the nights of Saturday, October 20th and Sunday, October 21st. Since the Moon will be setting around midnight, the viewing should be really good. You should be able to see about 20 meteors per hour when you look to the southern sky for the constellation of Orion.
This is a planet of intense desire and, being a water sign, can give those affected by it an unstable, emotional nature. There is a need to experience all of life deeply and intensely whether it brings pain or pleasure. This is how Scorpio grows, learns and transforms.
Those who weren’t born Scorpio, but are still influenced by its energy, may find a strong need to express feelings long kept silent or find they passionately need to find their purpose now.
This is also a very intuitive time. After all, Scorpio is a fixed water sign and Pluto, its ruling planet, is about death and the mysterious side of life. In this, the dark of the year, it’s no wonder the occult side of life beckons us!
To all my intense, mystical Scorpio friends….
Venus, that wonderful planet of love and beauty, moves into Libra on Sunday, October 28th, at 9:04 a.m. EDT.
Venus rules Libra, so it is quite at home here and seeks to bring balance and harmony to the love and artistic sides of our lives.
Have you been wanting to redecorate a part of your house you hold dear? Now is the time. Is there a piece of artwork that you’ve really wanted to create? Now is the time? Is there someone who you care deeply about that you either haven’t told or have failed to tell recently they mean a great deal to you? Now is definitely the time.
When Venus is in Libra we are being offered any opportunity to create that longed for peace, harmony and love in our lives. We should never let this slip through our fingers. Enjoy the wonderful vibrations of love, harmony and creativity that are being offered by this transit. You really will be glad you did!
Short and sweet, this time around. I wish all of you a wonderful October and a fantastic New Moon!!!
