Time continues to speed up. Here we are in April already. Earth changes brought very little Winter to my area of the country. I’m very grateful as I don’t do Winter very well. Now the trees are budding and leafing out, tulips are blooming in the backyard, the furnace rarely kicks on (I’m grateful for that also.), and the birds and animals are making their presence abundantly clear.
I still wonder how many of us are just being swept along rather than living consciously as each hour, day and week passes? There seems to be a wonderful opportunity being presented to each of us that really could lead to wonderful changes in our lives and our very being. How many of us are consciously taking advantage of that opportunity? How many of us still believe we are powerless and victims to the whims of Fate?
I continue to look to the stars for guidance as to what the energies of the placements and transits are offering each of us. I have no concrete answers, just my awareness and suggestions for those who care to listen. I am also very open to hearing other observations, thoughts, and feelings. After all, we are all in this together!
Here’s what the next two weeks have to offer:
This is a Full Moon whose energies, when combined with the Sun in Aries, can give each of us a keenly sensitive nature. You can find yourself highly receptive to music and the fine arts. It also can enhance your natural abilities of observance, being alert, and being sociable. It can cause you to recognize the possibility that you don’t like to live or work alone.
For those who are counselors and/or advisors, this is an especially good time for you. The combined energies of the Moon and Sun bring out and enhance your abilities. This is a good thing as the Full Moon in Libra can cause many to take a look at their relationships – intimate, familial, business, etc. – and want to talk to someone about them. Those who have been seeking balance, in any area of their lives, may also seek you out for an objective viewpoint at this time.
Although downgraded by astronomers from being a planet, it still is a planet to most astrologers. We recognize its significance for each generation born under the particular sign that Pluto is in during that generation’s birth.
Pluto in Capricorn brings the evolutionary lesson of learning to establish your individuality and authority within a society or culture. This is true not only for those born with Pluto in Capricorn, but for all of us in this time period, especially as Pluto turns retrograde.
Here, we are given the opportunity to see how our own philosophies and identity fit within the framework of the culture or society in which we find ourselves. Through the process of being aware and sifting through the multitude of feelings we experience every day, we can give credence to our own actions and realize it is possible to be “in this world but not of it.” This may cause some to find the need to withdraw, spending time in contemplation, so that we can begin to recognize we have the power and the right to choose our role in the outside world.
Truly a very interesting time!
Now that it is moving forward again, this Mars position can best be used for acquiring knowledge and putting it to practical use. The normal enthusiasm of Mars is toned down somewhat in Virgo, but allows us to see the practicality of anything and be more willing to pursue it.
Hard work is now more palatable and this is a great time to get those “strenuous” things done. Take care though. Accidents can occur through employment with Mars in Virgo. There can also be nervousness or irritability with coworkers now.
Opportunities will come now through service-oriented things and practical activities.
Mercury will be moving into Aries on Monday, April 16th, at 6:42@ p.m. EDT. It is here that you may feel as if someone opened the windows to your mind and let fresh air in thus clearing away the cobwebs. Mercury in Aries is the best position for mental strength and brilliance!
You may find yourself feeling extremely witty and quick with the comeback in a conversation or with the answer to a question. This extremely “up” feeling can cause impatience with others, especially any who would have an opposing viewpoint.
All in all, though, it’s like someone has Spring-cleaned your mind and that breathe of fresh air makes you feel sooooo exhilarated!
Woo-hoo! The Sun’s moving into my own birth sign of Taurus on Thursday, April 19th, at 12:12 p.m. EDT.
Being ruled by Venus, Taurus is a lover of beauty and good food. This is a great time for pursuing any of the arts, even the culinary ones. If you love beauty, Taurus is smack-dab in the middle of Spring and Mother Nature is very busy spreading Her Springtime gown filled with flowers and other wonders for us to enjoy.
Taurus is affectionate but the need for feeling secure and safe can turn that into possessiveness. This can be a great emotional time if everyone remembers to allow each other their space.
Yes, stubbornness can be an issue with Taurus, but, given good practical reasons, even a Taurus is open to change. With the Sun in Taurus now, bringing about change in your own life may require you to be practical about it.
Taurus naturally rules the second house of money. When money does come your way during this transit, use it wisely and practically and you are, more than likely, to see more follow it.
To all my fellow Taureans…
