It’s been a very mild and wonderful Winter here in SE Ohio. I am truly grateful. It made the time pass more quickly than usual at this time of the year. Now that Spring is only about two weeks away, the daffodils, crocuses and tulips are beginning to pop up from their hibernation. My two cats are both feeling that Spring is in the air and the robins have definitely returned! All in all, it gives me so much to smile about!
What’s even more breathtaking is that the night sky right now is filled with five visible planets and that’s pretty awesome as well! Mercury, Venus Mars, Jupiter and Saturn all can be seen right now in a clear night sky. Pretty cool, huh? If you want to read more about this phenomena, follow this link: http://earthsky.org/astronomy-essentials/visible-planets-tonight-mars-jupiter-venus-saturn-mercury you’ll find a really nice article there about what’s going on.
There’s a Full Moon in Virgo that takes place on Thursday, March 8th, at 4:39 a.m. EST that will light up the sky even more (in fact, it’s been looking pretty light out early in the week).
Moon in Virgo energies may cause you to start thinking about your health and what steps you may want to take to improve it. That’s fine, but don’t let those energies cause you to obsess about it or become fanatical. Too much of a good thing is as bad as none at all.
Short journeys and changes are also a part of Moon in Virgo energies, so listen to that soft voice that may be trying to direct you to a new way of thinking or an adventure that could bring change.
With the Moon in Virgo and the Sun in Pisces, you may find your intuition active and inspiration at an all-time high. However, watch for possible instances of self-distrust. Now is the time for prudence, steadiness and common sense.
International Women’s Day is also on Thursday, March 8th. Last year was the 100th anniversary of this global celebration of the achievements of women in economics, politics and society. It is a celebration of women of the past, present and future. Take the time to celebrate the women who have made a difference, in your life and around the world!
You know the drill by now…Spring forward and turn the clocks ahead one hour. (***yawn***) Spring may be waking up, the Sun may be rising earlier, but I want to sleep in! How about you?
Although Mercury in Aries is normally a great energy for brilliance and strength of mind, when it turns retrograde, our most childlike desires are reflected in our thought and sensory patterns.
The energies of this retrograde can cause a lack of patience and even impulsive thinking and poor judgment. There may also be nervousness for unknown reasons.
Any retrograde planet offers us the opportunity to work on things within ourselves that could be improved. With Mercury, it’s a chance to communicate our thoughts and desires better; to think more clearly, more practically and even become aware of some of the 70,000 thoughts that parade through our minds daily that consciously we are mostly unaware of. Those thoughts can be very revealing and Mercury retrograde is offering us a chance to pay attention.
The Sun moves into Aries on Tuesday, March 20th at 1:15 a.m. EDT and with it the Vernal Equinox occurs. Day and night are now equal as the Earth begins to warm for us in the northern hemisphere.
Equinox, equal – it’s about balance and Aries offers us an opportunity to plant new seeds for new growth, not only within the Earth, but within ourselves. Rebirth is not only for our gardens, but for us as well.
Aries energy is pioneering, adventurous, filled with courage, blunt and direct in manner. Wow! That’s an energy to carry you forward into new projects, new places, and more!
Join in the celebration! The opportunities are endless and the possibilities too numerous to mention!
