OMG, is time flying by or what? The closer we get to our alignment with the center of the galaxy and the planetary alignment that’s to take place in 2012, I feel more and more like someone has punched the “Fast Forward” button on the life that’s going on around me.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m very grateful that we’ve made it through another winter here in Ohio, but for crying-out-loud, I’m starting to get wind-burn from time speeding past at what seems like warp 10.
It makes me wonder how people who are so focused on their own lives, and aren’t aware of what’s going on in the world-at-large, are dealing with time speeding up. Do they notice it at all or is it “just another day” to them?
There are signs of time speeding up out there. Have you noticed how fast people talk now? How about how impatient people are when they need something done? I recognize that impatience has always been part of life for some of us, but it seems more widespread now and more intense. Everything needs to be done yesterday or even the day before that. Most people don’t seem to be able to drive the speed limit either. They’re always rushing here and rushing there. You’re doing the speed limit and people are passing you like you’re standing still. Have you noticed?
Being swept along in the current of every day life has become much more dangerous than it ever was. That’s why it’s so very important to be aware of yourself and life right now. That’s also why it’s so very important to take charge of your life by making conscience choices and not allow yourself to just be swept along in the increasingly rapid pace of day-to-day life.
The path of transformation for each of us, and this planet, lies in our choosing to be aware and in our willingness to take charge of our lives. We each are the proverbial pebble cast into the pond (Life). The energies of our decisions and actions ripple out, affecting all that surrounds us. Wouldn’t it be wiser to use those energies to be the change you wish to see in the world?
Speaking of energies, the energies of the Full Moon in Libra on Sunday, April 17th, should be intense especially a the moment of its happening – 10:44 p.m. EDT.
This is a combination of the Sun in Aries with its headstrong, moving forward energies and the Moon in Libra with its search for balance and harmony. It is the combination of the “one” (Aries) with the “many” (Libra). While Aries is a self-starter, Libra is about working in partnerships.
So what does this mean for most of us? It offers us the opportunity to be more aware of the world around us and the people in it and how they are dealing with life. It offers the chance to step forward, find our voices, and unite with others of like-mind in the healing of ourselves and our planet. After all, even when we believe ourselves to be totally alone in our moments of grief and anguish, we are connected not only with each other, but with all life on planet Earth.
You have to admit that to consciously decide at this Full Moon that the time has come to stand with others for the balance, harmony and healing of each of our lives and the life of the planet is pretty intense!
The Sun will be entering the sign of Taurus on Wednesday, April 20th at 6:18 a.m. EDT.
Taurus is a fixed earth sign. There was a time when astrologers thought about assigning planetary rulership of Taurus to Earth itself. Venus, planet of beauty and the arts, got that rulership.
Earth signs are practical in their approach to life, for the most part. Inertia can be a problem, but more than likely, those born under this sign will take the part of the turtle, from the Aesop fable of the tortoise and the hare, taking a slow and steady approach to life. They do reach their goals, just a little slower than some others.
They are lovers of beauty and music. Many have some form of artistic talent – writing, music, drawing and/or painting.
They are affectionate but many Taureans have security issues and this can tend to make them possessive at times.
Being a fixed sign, they are very attached to their opinions. It’s not that they won’t listen to the opinions of others or take them into consideration. They’re usually just more comfortable with the decision they’ve arrived at – for better or worse.
Other attributes of Taurus are patience, reliability and a good sense for business. They also love luxury and good food (which can create weight problems).
For those not born at this time, if you read through the above description, you can pretty much get an idea of what the energies of the Sun’s transit through Taurus have to offer. It can be a time of real appreciation for all the beauty that surrounds us daily. After all, Spring is in full bloom here. It can also be a time of love and the enjoyment of all the great things life has to offer.
To all those born at this time –
Friday, April 22nd is the official day that celebrates the Earth. In the many years since the beginning since this day was begun, many have made it a week long and even month long celebration. Clean-up projects, planting projects and promotion of “green” technologies are now all part of the celebration of our Earth. Join the celebration!!!
Mercury in Aries goes direct from its retrograde motion on Saturday, April 23rd, at 6:04 a.m. EDT.
That noise that sounds like a tire leaking is just me exhaling. I’ve been holding my breath (metaphorically) ever since it went retrograde on March 30th. I don’t know about you, but I have experienced that miscommunication with others and have discovered why I don’t like to repeat things. With the energies moving forward again, I’m looking forward to the opportunity to use Aries to “start anew”.
In forward motion, Aries offers the one of the best positions for mental strength and brilliance. It also allows for fast thinking on ones feet and the ability to direct others through originality. It also provides energies for being witty and amusing. After that retrograde, we could all use some fun!
Just a brief note here to acknowledge and wish all who celebrate this holiday a very joyous day!
May the seeds you planted at the Vernal Equinox grow bountiful gardens filled with all you could ever hope for!
May you find peace, prosperity, health and happiness! Until we meet again,
