It’s hard to believe, but here it is, the last issue of Astrological Musings in this format via email. The next issue will come as an email invitation to visit and subscribe to it on my web site – “Journey to the Center of the Mind”.
Yes, for those of you old enough to remember, that is the title to an Amboy Dukes song from the 70s. Although I was never into the drug scene, then or now, the whole concept of exploring the vast reaches of “inner” space – the mind – has always held a certain fascination for me. The web site is a reflection of what that fascination was then and is now. I hope you will check it out once it’s up and running.
We begin with the New Moon this month which is occurring on Friday, March 4th at 3:46 p.m. EST.
With the Sun and Moon both in Pisces, this is an excellent opportunity to be one step ahead of everyone and everything, if you use your intuition. This is definitely a time of strong psychic abilities.
The one drawback is that other planets in an individual’s chart can activate the fear factor of the Piscean energies. Even with that factor, though, it’s going to be pretty difficult to ignore what your “gut” is telling you.
Pisces is the natural ruler of the 12th house of astrology. That house is about self-undoing, secret sorrows, limitations, but also the secret or hidden side of life including the occult and karma.
With the Sun and Moon both here, depending on how much you are influenced by these energies, you may find yourself in a position where you must deal with things and people you would rather not deal with at all. This is part of the healing process and those energies come from the opposite house, the 6th, which deals with healing, health, and service.
All and all this is a very opportunistic time for those seeking to improve their quality of life.
On Tuesday, March 8th, we celebrate the 100th year of International Women’s Day. This is truly a global day of celebrating the achievements of past, present and future women in the areas of economics, politics and society.
This is a national holiday in places like China, Russia, Vietnam and Bulgaria.
This special day honors the work of the Suffragettes, who campaigned for women’s right to vote.
The first such event was held in 1911. Across the USA, and around the world, hundreds and hundreds of events are being held to celebrate this day. Also, in the USA, March has been designated “Women’s History Month”.
Take the time to celebrate the women of the world, history and in your own life!
At 12:47 p.m., on Wednesday, March 9th, Mercury will enter the sign of Aries.
This is an excellent placement for the mental qualities of Mercury! Here, the qualities of Aries, add strength, brilliance and originality to the thought processes. The mind loves intellectual adventures right now and will require regular stimulation to keep focused on new ideas.
If you can keep your patience in check and remember that others have good ideas as well, you will find this a great time for new, innovative ideas and new ways of looking at life.
Spring Forward! Yep, it’s time to move those clocks ahead again.
Sunday, March 13th at 2:00 a.m. we begin Daylight Savings Time once again.
Don’t forget to change those clocks and sleep in an extra hour!!!
Not everyone is Irish, but many still celebrate St. Patrick’s Day – mostly because of all the drinking and partying. I, however, choose to use this day to celebrate the Little People. You never know when a leprechaun might take a liking to you and bestow some of his gold on you!
So, on Thursday, March 17th, light a candle, raise a glass of your favorite beverage and toast the unseen spirits of Nature. Leprechaun or otherwise, I like to think they have a lot to do with the beauty we see beginning to appear at this time of the year.
Love & Blessed Be,
