December

Volume 4 Issue 24
December 19, 2010
Well, the season of giving and merriment has arrived!  Joy to the world!!!  No matter who you are or where your life is right now, there is so much to be grateful for and celebrate.
In this vibrational Universe we live in, joy is one of the highest vibrations there are – next to unconditional love.  So, give yourself a wonderful gift this season and find something to be joyful about!!!  It could prove to be the nicest and best thing you ever did for yourself!
\Speaking of the vibrational Universe, on Tuesday, December 21st at 3:13 a.m. EST, there is a Full Moon in Gemini.
This is also a Lunar eclipse.  Not so unusual.  They happen all the time.  This one, however, will be seen on four continents.  Providing the skies are clear, it will be best viewed in North America and Central America beginning at 1:33 a.m. EST and continuing for 3 hours and 38 minutes.  The actual total eclipse begins at 2:41 a.m. EST and lasts 72 minutes.  The Moon will be fully covered with amber light at 3:17 a.m. EST.
Moon in Gemini provides the vibrations that stimulate the imagination.  This can be very beneficial for highly creative work, but for those who have a more nefarious nature, it can produce a great deal of lying and forgetting everything about the truth.  Just like any other energy available for our use, it’s not the energy that is good or bad, it’s how we choose to use it.
Moon in Gemini can also cause people to talk incessantly.  It can also cause a person to rationalize their emotions so that they really don’t know how they feel.
You may find yourself (or others) nervous or fidgety.  The urge may be to take short trips – keep moving.
With it being a Full Moon, any of these traits that present themselves can do so in an exaggerated or overabundant manner.  However, when the eclipse happens, it may seem like someone pulled the plug – that energy will be gone albeit temporarily, at least until the Moon moves into Cancer at 4:22 a.m. on the same day!
By this time the eclipse will be over and the “power” will have been turned back on full force!  Moon in Cancer is in its home sign.  The Moon rules the sign of Cancer.
Moon in Cancer is very emotional all on its own, let alone during a Full Moon.  This could invoke the epitome of the word “lunatic”.  If there are unresolved emotional issues in your life or the life of someone close to you, brace yourself.  This could be the time when the emotional damn bursts.
Now, before you sarcastically tell me I’m such a ray of sunshine here, remember the flip side (and there usually is one) is that for many there can be extremes of joy, mirth and celebration.  The choice is always ours as to how we use the energies.
This can also be a very intuitional time.  So listen to those gut instincts.
All in all this will be a very interesting vibrational time!  But, wait!  There’s more!!!
That very same day, Tuesday, December 21st, at 6:39 p.m., the Sun makes its annual transit into Capricorn.
Here again, nothing unusual.  However, when you couple it with the Full Moon and Lunar eclipse, you have an event that hasn’t taken place for 372 years!  Yes, that’s right…372 years.  The last time this happened was December 21, 1638.  So, you’re thinking, “When will it happen again?”  Well, not quite as long as 300+ years.  Still, it will be December 21, 2094 before it takes place again.  So this is a very rare and special energetic occurrence!
Sun in Capricorn brings the energies of practicality, perseverance and patience.  There is also reliability and being efficient and prudent.  After all, we’re talking about an Earth sign here.  The trick in being a Capricorn or using Capricorn energies is to not be weighed down by the Saturnine energies that can cause one to become depressed, morose and as emotionally heavy as the lead that is the metal of this planet and its sign.
So as the Sun enters this sign this year, there is a wonderful opportunity to balance the energies of the Sun in Capricorn and the Full Moon in Cancer and employ lightheartedness with your practicality and perseverance.  In other words, be playfully persistent!!!

To all those celebrating birthdays during the sign of Capricorn –

To all of you who celebrate the Winter Solstice,
Okay, time to take a breath.  The holidays are almost over and the New Year approaches.  As it does, on December 30th, Mercury turns direct in its motion at 2:21 a.m. EST.
Mercury is in Sagittarius now and, with forward motion again, we can expect energies that encompass honesty and directness.
This is also a time when concentration may be difficult.  Brevity is the keyword at this time.  If you’re a writer, short stories may work better right now.  Written communications will likely be in the form of postcards, short notes or memos.  Even travel may be better suited to short trips than long ones now.
This position of Mercury also adds to ones intuition.  Following hunches now will probably be a good course of action.
As we enter the New Year, the Quadrantids meteors make an appearance in the night sky for two nights starting on January 3rd.  This meteor shower produces about 25 meteors per hour and they are usually bluish in color.  If you happen to be out looking at the night sky, these will provide a little after-New Year’s “fireworks” for your enjoyment!
As I wrap up this final issue of 2010, I’d like to wish all of you a wonderful holiday celebration filled with joy and love. May the New Year bring you peace, love, and prosperity!
Love & Blessed Be,
Lady Maya
